This august bank holiday was spent at one of my favourite festivals.

Shamabala started life in 1999 as a free party for 150 or so people, and through no advertising or promotion has grown into one of the best dates on the calendar….

Mama Matrix & a guitar tutorial

Spent the evening in the studio today recording two members of the mighty Mama Matrix…Not the zapperesque, balkan gypsy jazz music you might imagine, but a few childrens songs such as “snail slither slowly”….

My music & dream set

Is coming along really well it has to be said…The standard i have for anything i would put around for general hearing, is just as high as any records i would buy as a dj, so in my head at least, when it does come together it will be on the level.

Also important to me is write a range of music, and not just breaks tracks. I have one acoustic instrumental with a few words, one almost finished breaks track, with drop beats not bombs mix, a dubby track and then a well produced but early in the arrangement breaks number…
