Dramatic storytelling residency at Little Heath Primary School (Warwick Arts Centre Education Department) in association with Pyn Stockman Dramask
Designed to improve speaking and listening skills and provide a stimulus to creative writing. Children worked with a 3 traditional tales, which were told through interactive storytelling workshops  with drama practitioner Pyn Stockman.

Yesterday was our first day on the film with a great  group on the Inclusion Connect special needs Project in Washwood Heath, and for me it was my first full workshop as a newly self employed workshop faciliator. After a good deal of planning, i’m very pleased to say that it turned out real well and was a great and very positive experience for me as much as the participants.

A reedit of reminiscence accounts from people in the world war 2 first used in 2005 by Dramask as part of Home Front Recall Project. With added recordings of childrens imagined experiences of world war two, which were put to some music used in the performance.

Its was a very wet sunday, but despite the torrential rain, the festival was great to be part of. Dramask had been asked to host a tent at the annual Water for Life Festival run by the environment agency, and i was asked to provide a suitable audio backdrop to the mask making activities (i thought i’d take our mr elephant banner with us what with it being the bbc)…

For anyone who is interested in trying out the free mr elephant workshops on saturday here’s the programme.

All workshops are FREE, and are aim to give you a taster of various creative artforms in a grassroots stylee.

Some are drop in, Some are tasters, and some will enable suitable participants to perform on the night.

If you want to try out any of the workshops, booking will be on a 1st come 1st served basis from 2pm as from the drop in workshops.

Written and performed by Rookery Schools Year 6 Students working with creative director and drama specialist, Pyn Stockman. I was brought in to edit the diary sequences and provide music that created an atmosphere but which the pupils might not previously have heard as they were also involved in creating songs for the performance.
The recording was used to underscore live action and to some degree functioned as a narrator.
All dialogue was written and spoken by year 6 pupils.

There’s been a lot going on, so i’ll attempt a quick summary, and be on my way!..

Today i got the chance to view the culmination of over 6 months work by Ann Jones (Music/B.A.M) and Pyn Stockman (Dramask/Drama) (with guitar from Daz), directing a performance for Cov Cool kids of over 750 children from 4 schools in coventry @ Warwick Arts Centre….. (and they totally pulled it off!!;)

Dramask were holding a mask workshop as part of the University of First Age held at the Symphony Hall, and Pyn had kindly offered me half a day assisting her. Our friend Jen did the first half, and they both had done such a sterling job, that by the time i had got there, the stall was swarming with kids and their parents!

There were two tables surrounded by the publicity of Pyn’s own masks, and various community and educational workshops she’s done over the last 12 years. One table …
