The first time we have broken even in the history of all our Rockfall nights!

Starting life as the main stage of Drop Beats Not Bombs, and then furthered as a night me and brummie legend Boogie Dave (not pictured) started at the medicine bar back in Feburary 3rd 2006, we were joined recently by R Caine (pictured) who signed me to the archangel agency at the start of the year, and is a real talent behind the scenes of breakbeat (and the decks). We have done 5 Rockfall’s all in all, (2 now with Russ), showcasing all sorts of underground breakbeat djs and producers, generating a lot of positive feedback, and filling out venues such as the custard factory, and Air.

Initially Boogie spent a lot on the main room line ups, which while its led to big names, means there hasnt been a great deal of opportunity to break even, despite all events being really well attended. Now hopefully all our hard work will now continue to pay off, even if it is just for the price of a box of flyers. If you want to make money, don’t promote underground events. Its all for the love.
