Dex n Vox n Flute

6 September 2007 No Comment

Today was the first studio session with the multi talented vocalist and flute player Amrita who we saw perform at the Rainbow last night.

Was great to have the opportunity to record some quality vocals, and some classical flute, and Amrita’s warm personality coupled with a professional approach meant for a very satisfying studio sesh.

In the eve i played around in cubase with some ideas to compliment the recordings, and already we have a few tracks coming together. Early ideas are something on a eastern/egyptian sounding tip, courtesy of a flute interpretation of a classic augustus pablo reggae track, and/or a big breaks track featuring some mc vocals, basslines and flute arpeggios, and something beautiful based on a sublime spanish love song called Dos Gardenias.
